Can I return items?
Sale items
- All sale items are final and cannot be returned or refunded.
Full-priced items
- Email us within 14 days of delivery at hello@sportythings.co.nz to organise a return.
- Items must be returned in their original sale condition with Sporty Things labels attached.
- Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
How long does shipping take?
All orders are processed and dispatched within 3 working days. Once your order has been shipped, we will email you with your tracking number.

What items are accepted?
We accept unworn, near-new and very good condition activewear from premium brands.
- Near-new means items that are in excellent condition and show no signs of wear. These are generally unworn or have been worn fewer than five times.
- Items in 'very good' condition may have labels removed but should otherwise have no faults or clear signs of wear.
- See our premium brand list below for accepted brands.
- All items must be newly washed and clean.

- Items with clear signs of wear including holes, stretching, tears, stains or pilling

Can I sell running shoes?
We do not currently accept shoes.
However, if shoes are current season and never worn aka BNWT with tags, we may accept these on a case-by-case basis. This is generally if someone has purchased the wrong size and is unable to return.

How are items priced?
We determine the price of your items based on the product type, brand, quality, current trends and buyer demand.
Have a look at our current listings to see what similar products have sold for.
When will my items be listed?
After we receive your Refresh Kit, we'll send you an email confirmation. From this date, please allow up to 21 working days for us to process your garments and list them on our website.
Once the listings are up and running, we'll notify you via email and provide links to your items.
If you haven't received an email from us, please remember to check your spam/junk folder!
How long are items listed for?
We list items for a total of 10 weeks.
1-6 weeks: full price
6-8 weeks: 20% off full price
8-10 weeks: 40% off full price
If items are unsold after 10 weeks, they will either be donated or returned to you. We'll ask your preferred option when you fill in our Sporty Things Seller form.
How much money will I make?
Items sold for under $100.00: you will receive 40% of the sale price.
Items sold for $100.00 or more: you will receive 50% of the sale price.
Our pay scale accounts for the expenses involved in processing items for resale including inspecting and handling items, photography, pricing, website administration and shipping preparation.
*We may deduct a cleaning fee if items require washing by our team.
How do I get paid?
After we receive your Sporty Things Refresh Kit, we'll email you a short form to fill out.
At this point, you'll choose how to redeem future profits from this order, and share your bank account details if applicable.
Please note: All seller payments will be processed on the 15th of each month following the sale. E.g. for any items sold in March, payments will be processed on April 15th.
What happens if my items aren't accepted?
Please don't send us items which don't meet our requirements. It creates a lot of extra work for our tiny team. We try to be clear about what we do and don't accept - if you have questions, flick us an email at hello@sportythings.co.nz and we'd be happy to help!
- If items don't meet our requirements, we'll contact you via email.
- You'll have 14 days to let us know if you would like your items returned. All clothes not claimed within 14 days will be donated.
- Return shipping for unaccepted items will be at the cost of the seller.
- If your pack is filled with items that do not meet our requirements, we may deduct a processing fee from your sold items.
What happens if my items don't sell?
If items are unsold after 10 weeks, they will either be donated or returned to you. You can select your preferred option when you send in your Refresh Kit.
